The Hotel and Restaurant Blechhammer - set in an idyllic location in the center of Kaiserslautern and yet in the heart of the Palatinate forest - offers everything you need for parties, events and conferences.
The Blechhammer hotel has 28 rooms with modern furnishings. Each room has a shower and toilet, cable TV, telephone, Internet with wireless LAN; some have a minibar, some a balcony.
The restaurant offers a large variety of freshly made food. Both local Palatinate regional dishes and Italian Mediterranean specialties are available on the extensive menu. Regardless of whether the occasion is dinner “a la carte“ for two, a business dinner, or a family gathering: The attentive staff are always happy to serve you. The lakeside terrace with its gorgeous view is open during the summer months.

For conferences, seminars and meetings, rooms with appropriate technical equipment are available for up to 45 people. Rooms can be divided, set up and furnished to individual requirements.

A Wedding at Blechhammer
The beautiful location in the middle of two lakes is the ideal backdrop for an unforgettable wedding. During the summer months, in particular, the lakeside terrace is a great place for celebrations. You are invited to indulge in the international cuisine, with a menu put together especially according to your wishes, or with a buffet. If desired, the bride and groom can be provided with a room for their wedding night free of charge.
The Hotel offers "Special Arrangements" throughout the year with "Big Barbecue Nights" and "Italian Cuisine Evenings" as well as outdoor hiking and biking packages on the weekends. The excellent location at the edge of the forest is an ideal starting point for hikers and bikers. The Palatinate Forest, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and Germany’s largest contiguous forest region, is a green oasis for relaxation and offers numerous possibilities for leisure activities, even for the discerning action-loving tourist. A great number of day-trip destinations are just waiting to be explored.
Autobahn A6 oncoming from Saarbrücken or Mannheim
- Exit "Kaiserslautern West" towards commercial area "Gewerbegebiet West".
- Leave the "Opelkreisel" towards "Gewerbegebiet / TÜV"
- Cross the commercial area on the Merkurstrasse.
- At the stoplight after about 2 km (3rd stoplight after the freeway, with Fitness Company on the right) take the "Danziger Street" at the left.
- After approximately another kilometer, take a turn to the left to the "Hammerweg" straight to the hotel (Sign with illuminated advertising).
