We want...
to work with our patients towards an oral situation, with which both we and the patient are happy. If there are different medically sound solutions to a problem, we will help find the solution that best fits your expectations and needs.

We want...
you to feel comfortable and confident with your teeth. The ultimate goal is for you to look natural without anybody else being able to notice that we have corrected nature a bit.

That means...
that we will work with modern, scientifically proven methods and materials. We will gladly explain what that means for your oral health. If there is a choice in methods or materials resulting in improved esthetics or comfort we will help you make the best choice.

We expect...
that you share our concern for your oral health and work with us to keep teeth, gums and oral tissue healthy.

Modern dentistry is more than just quick relief in dental emergencies.

Dr. Borckmann's dental surgery practice offers the following treatments:

Fillings
Even with proper care and prophylaxis it is impossible to eliminate cavities completely. But with regular check-ups it is possble to catch cavities early enough before extensive damage has been done. With modern filling materials chemically anchored to the tooth (bonding) small cavities can be repaired in a long lasting and esthetically pleasing way.

Endodontics
Even in cases where extensive restorations and decay have caused the nerve to die, modern root canal treatment procedures can save the tooth for an extended period of time. Contrary to what you may have heard about "root-canals" the procedure is time consumig but painless. Keeping your own tooth is well worth the effort.

Periodontal Disease
We live much longer today than our ancestors. And we keep more of our teeth longer than the generations before us. So it’s all the more important to keep your gums and bone healthy. Periodontal disease can be prevented or slowed down through a combination of periodontal treatment and enhanced oral care.

Oral Surgery
Not every surgical procedure means losing a tooth. More often, surgery is a means to save a tooth that otherwise would have to come out. Another surgical treatment is removal of impacted teeth such as wisdom teeth.
And inserting artificial roots (implants) into the bone to replace missing teeth is becoming a viable option in more and more cases.

Functional Treatment
Not every toothache is caused by decay. The position of the teeth relative to each other and to the anatomical structures of the head and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) can cause problems. If extensive tooth restoration is required, accurate measurements are essential for a successful treatment!

Fixed Crowns / Bridges
Missing teeth and teeth with large defects are best restored with fixed crowns and bridges. Form and function are most similar to natural teeth and they feel like your own teeth too.

Removable Partial Dentures
When there is not enough support for fixed restorations, removable partial dentures are a way of unobtrusively replacing missing teeth. There are different ways to anchor partials to the remaining teeth, depending on the number, position and strength of these teeth. Dr Borckmann will work with you to find the most comfortable and esthetically pleasing solution for you.

Esthetic Dentistry - care for your smile!
Today, new small cavities can be fixed with modern materials in an "invisible" way. Even cases where crowns were necessary just a few years ago can now be restored with minimal additional loss of tooth substance.
With bleaching and veneers healthy teeth can be esthetically improved.

Hypnosis
What's got hypnosis to do with dentistry? Quite often regular dental treatment is prevented by anxiety and fears that are not neccessarily rational. Hypnosis is a way of dealing with such fears on a subconscious level.
